Answering compliance questions and concerns is a top priority for Synthes.
1. Questions or concerns may be directed to a Compliance Ambassador, or directly to our Chief Compliance Officer. Our Compliance Ambassadors and Chief Compliance Officer are responsible for supporting our compliance efforts and program, and for cultivating our culture of compliance. 2. You may call our toll-free Compliance Helpline. Operated by an independent organization, our Compliance Helpline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All callers may remain anonymous. Synthes will promptly review all calls, and where appropriate will promptly respond and/or perform any appropriate internal inquiry.
3. You may utilize our Compliance Helplink for electronic communications. Our Compliance Helplink is a service that allows you to electronically mail your questions and concerns. Like our Compliance Helpline, our Compliance Helplink is operated by an independent organization, which will keep your identity confidential upon your request. Synthes will promptly review all communications, and where appropriate will promptly respond and/or perform any appropriate internal inquiry. Our Compliance Helplink may be accessed by clicking here.
Except where prohibited by law, all persons utilizing the Synthes Compliance Helpline or Compliance Helplink may remain anonymous. Additionally, Synthes respects all requests that communications remain confidential. Please note, however, that it is not possible to guarantee absolute confidentiality in all circumstances. For example, there may be circumstances where disclosure is required by law. You should also be aware that others who are familiar with a situation you report may be able to guess your identity. Please do not let these possibilities discourage you from posing any questions or concerns. Synthes will promptly review all communications, and where appropriate will promptly respond and/or perform any appropriate internal inquiry. Regardless of the method of communication, Synthes is committed to protecting people who raise compliance questions and concerns from any form of retaliation. Retaliation is a serious violation of our Global Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, and any person who retaliates as a result of a good faith question or concern is subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
