chronOS - Trauma
chronOS, a synthetic, biocompatible bone void filler, is ideal for many bone void filler applications. The material is a radiopaque β-tricalcium phosphate which contains two of the main mineral constituents of bone, calcium and phosphorus. chronOS is resorbed and replaced by bone in 6-18 months during the healing process.

- Can be used alone or mixed with autograft for large volume defects
Indications
- Intended only for bony voids or defects that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure in the extremities, spine and pelvis
- Intended for treatment of surgically or traumatically created osseous defects
- Intended to be gently packed or placed into the site and may be combined with autogenous blood, bone marrow or saline
Contraindications*
chronOS is contraindicated in the following circumstances:
- In the presence of active or suspected infection
- Defects in the region of unclosed epiphyseal cartilage (i.e. fractures of the growth plate)
- Segmental defects of long bones
- Areas which are subjected to excessive impact or stress
