Norian CRS Fast Set Putty

Norian CRS Fast Set Putty is a moldable, biocompatible bone cement that sets at body temperature.  Norian CRS Fast Set Putty hardens in vivo to form carbonated apatite, a composition closely resembling the mineral phase of bone.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Easily mixed, shaped and molded for implantation into defects positioned at difficult angles, as well as for onlay applications
  • Isothermic hardening reduces thermal injury to surrounding soft tissue
  • Hardens in approximately 3-6 minutes in a warm, wet environment, reducing the need to control moisture at the operative site
  • Cures to a maximum compressive strength of ~ 30 Mpa (4,350 psi) within 24 hours, which is approximately 4 times greater than cancellous bone
  • Provides an osteoconductive scaffold that resorbs and is replaced with bone during the healing process

Indications

  • Indicated for repairing or filling craniofacial defects and craniotomy cuts with a surface area no larger than 25 cm2
  • Indicated for the restoration or augmentation of bony contours of the craniofacial skeleton, including the fronto-orbital, malar and mental areas

Contraindications

  • Should not be used in the spine
  • Should not be used in the presence of active or suspected infection
  • For complete contraindications, adverse events, and cautions, please see the complete Directions for Use.
