DBX – Trauma
DBX is an allograft bone void filler which is osteoconductive and has osteoinductive potential*. Replaced by bone in approximately 6 months, DBX is ideal for a variety of applications within cleared indications.

* It is unknown how the osteoinductive potential, measured in the athymic mouse model or the alkaline phosphatase assay, will correlate with clinical performance in human subjects.
Indications
- DBX is intended for use as a bone void filler for voids or gaps that are not intrinsic to the stability of the bony structure. It is intended for treatment of surgically or traumatically created osseous defects.
- DBX Putty, Paste, or Mix may be used in the extremities and pelvis.
- DBX can be used with bone marrow.
Contraindications**
DBX is not intended to provide structural support of the bone during healing. DBX is contraindicated in the following circumstances:
- Uncontrolled diabetes
- Hypercalcemia
- Osteomyelitis at the surgical site
- Sepsis in or around the surgical site
