The Epoca shoulder prosthesis is intended for use as a hemi – or total shoulder replacement.  The Epoca glenoid component was designed to facilitate a normal gleno-humeral range of motion.  The Epoca glenoid has a reduced size and beveled rim for maximum mobility and reduced risk of impingement.  Unlike the subchrondral bone plate, the glenoid and humeral cartilage surfaces have similar contours.  The gleno-head surfaces of the Epoca system are congrugent.
