The Reamer/ Irrigator/Aspirator System (RIA) provides irrigation and aspiration during reaming, allowing reduced intramedullary pressure and single pass reaming.  Single pass reaming reduces operating room time and provides an easier technique.

• Multipurpose system clears medullary canal, effectively sizes medullary canal, and irrigates, eliminating the need to separately use a reamer and irrigation system
• Allows harvesting of finely morselized autogenous bone and bone marrow from the intramedullary canal for any surgical procedures requiring bone graft, while avoiding pain associated with iliac crest autogenous harvesting
• If long bone is already fractured, and autogenus bone void filler is needed, RIA allows the harvest to take place at or near the fracture site, eliminating the need to harvest from a different anatomic location and perform another invasive procedure
